Corporate Partners

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the following organisations who are helping us to develop and deliver our programs.

We're delighted to be working with Xstrata, delivering our Sport for Life program in Mount Isa, Queensland, for 2011-2012.  The program provides unique opportunities for the young people of Mount Isa to learn about healthy lifestyles and essential life skills, while providing them with the incentive to remain in longer term education for a better future.

SHELL DEVELOPMENT (Australia)

Online Dreaming, Perth.  This is an exciting partnership which enables Online Dreaming to be delivered in Perth for the first time in Stride's history.  Working with Shell, we will be able to support young people at risk of disengaging from their school and community with a long term film production program.  The young people involved will be producing their own films from concept idea, to storyboard, to script-writing to filming and editing, whilst working with mentors and being encouraged to remain in education for longer.

We are delighted to confirm a partnership with DECA which has been kicked off through the very kind pro-bono donation of four wheel drive skills courses for our operational team members.  Many of our programs are run in very remote regions across Australia and this generous donation contributes enormously to our organisational health and safety policy and commitments.  It also supports DECA in delivering on its mission to make a meaningful contribution to the safety of Australian Drivers.  We are now looking forward to developing this partnership further with regards to opportunities for young people within the transport and logistics industry.

Stride is pleased to be working with corporates who have a responsibility agenda to help young people reach their potential.  For more information contact our Director of Development, Jill Gustave Marston, on 03 9489 1611 or email jmarston@stride.org.au

Community Fundraisers

Thank you to the community groups, businesses and individuals who put on events and activities to raise funds for Stride.  The creativity and community spirit is wonderful and it's doubly great to hear that the organisers and participants have had such good fun while raising funds for us.

Stride CEO Jane Hill receives a nicely sized cheque from Anna Alexander, Young Lawyer's Section Manager
A big thanks to the Law Institute Victoria Young Lawyers for raising $740 for Stride at their annual trivia night.

The Young Lawyers Trivia Night is one of the most popular annual events on the Young Lawyers' calendar- a night of fun, entertainment and sharpened minds and pencils!  This year the Young Lawyers chose Stride to benefit from their trivia night raffle.

Thank you to the following Trusts and Foundations who are generously supporting many of our programs and workshops.

We were delighted to receive significant funding from the William Buckland Foundation for a major early intervention pilot program, "Supportive Schools". The program will run over three years and is in partnership with four local schools.  The program sees us delivering a tailored program of our school workshops and community programs, reaching nearly 2,000 students.  Major outcomes for the program will be based on increasing the personal, social and community connectedness of young people in disadvantaged regions of Gippsland.
