Director positions
 
After a review of skills and competencies, the Board has agreed to increase its number to further broaden the Board’s skill base.
The Board is looking to appoint high calibre individuals with the following attributes:

·         passion for young people;

·         commitment to Stride’s work and values;

·         integrity and high ethical standards;

·         sound and independent judgement;

·         strong interpersonal skills;

·         a large network;

·         understanding of the role of a director and/or experience as a director;

·         knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.
 
 
Time commitment is estimated to be a minimum of four (4) hours per month.

Specific skills – priority areas
A background in one or more of the following would be highly regarded:

·         marketing;

·         PR;

·         fundraising and business development;

·         government relations/networking.

Note: Candidates with skills in other areas may apply however preference may be given to candidates that can demonstrate experience in the priority areas.

Directors serve on an honorary basis and accordingly no remuneration is paid to Directors for their services.
