New Partnership for Stride and KWAC
Stride Foundation recently partnered with the Kinglake West Adventure Camp (KWAC) to present our programs at their school camps. KWAC delivers school camps with a difference, focusing on the personal development of students and giving them positive experiences with lasting memories. This makes KWAC a perfect partner for Stride as our programs are based around giving young people a chance to work on their own problems for positive outcomes.
“The benefit of this partnership is that schools can run the program in an environment that is fun and which allows the kids to spend extra time on the issues that are raised. By combining the separate strengths of KWAC and Stride we are providing a deeper set of life skills that will improve the physical, social and mental wellbeing of all the kids involved,” says Stride CEO Ken Dusting.
The schools can utilise the programs at KWAC camps in two ways, either as a refresher on a program that is already running at their school or as an ideal setting to launch a new program.
“We are excited to be joining with Stride as we feel the basis of KWAC’s camps and the basis of Stride’s programs make us ideal partners. Together we make the developmental opportunity for kids even deeper, more fun and more sustainable, the kids will truly be learning skills for life,” says Scott Wood, KWAC Programming Director.
All Stride programs held at KWAC’s camps will be run by the qualified Stride trainers and will work in with the theme of the camp as established with the school and KWAC.
