Stride's early intervention school-based programs address a range of issues facing young people today including bullying, aggression, depression, cyber bullying, how to communicate and how to mediate with peers.

We work with young people to increase their self-esteem and resilience by helping them to learn and develop social and life skills so that they can develop positive relationships and deal with issues that could have a serious negative influence over their life.

Our approach with young people is to equip them with the following skills:

• Communication and assertiveness

• Dealing with anger and emotions

• Goal setting and problem solving

• Relationship building

Peer support and life skills in a community context

• Leadership.

Our school workshops are applicable to all school environments and we have delivered workshops to a diverse range of young people, from independent suburbian schools to remote Government schools.

Stride also provides professional development programs for those who work with young people, teaching the skills to use our programs direct with students.
